Product

Your LMS, independently available.

CourseShelter maintains an independent, read-only copy of institutional LMS data and presents it through a familiar archive interface when the production LMS is unavailable, retired, or no longer the right place to keep history.

Continuity without a second teaching platform

CourseShelter is intentionally read-only. It is not another place for faculty to teach. It is a continuity and records layer that preserves courses, enrollments, grades, submissions, files, and related metadata outside the live LMS.

  • Independent access during an LMS outage
  • Searchable historical course records
  • Download and export workflows for institutional recovery
  • A familiar course-oriented interface for authorized staff

Built first for Canvas LMS

The initial CourseShelter release is designed for Canvas LMS using authorized institutional API access and bulk data interfaces where appropriate. Additional LMS platforms can be added later without changing the product model.
